Impossible Grails is an extremely limited new series which will only feature the absolute top grail cards of each set. These are the cards that make it nearly impossible to complete their sets because they are almost nonexistent in PSA 10 condition and almost never become publicly available. Base 2 was the first set released in the year 2000. This set combined the original Base Set cards with the Jungle Set but with a new style of holographic pattern, the cosmos holo. This holographic pattern was first introduced with this set and is the most popular still to this day and is used in almost every English Language Pokemon set to date. The Cosmos holo was much more vibrant and had the swirl patterns which are extremely popular with collectors. At the time of initial release, these cards were not very popular and the survival rates were among the lowest. Fast forward to today and these extremely low population cards are some of the most collectible of the WOTC era. The PSA 10 populations are much lower than that of either Base Set or Jungle and are nearly impossible to find. We are not going to be doing a complete set of all of the holos from Base 2 but instead are only doing one release which contains the 4 rarest holos from the set. The rarest card of the set, the Clefairy is known for having the most vibrant holo which is evident in the photo and has only sold twice publicly over the past 7 years in PSA 10 condition. This one card is the favorite among collectors and is the top chase card of the entire set. We have also included the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lowest population cards from the set. These cards are a must for any collector who is looking for the rarest cards from the #1 Pokemon era, Wizards of the Coast.
